Milford Sound
One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to Milford Sound, a Fjord encroaching on New Zealand from the Pacific. We took a bus in from Queenstown, and flew back in a small plane (saving the 5-hour bus ride back).

The road into Milford Sound had been damaged by flooding and was one lane for about 30 miles. So the only way in was by bus and all the buses queued up for a convoy 3 times a day.
