Hamilton Gardens
About half way from Auckland to Rotorua, we stopped at the Hamilton Gardens. There were about a dozen vastly different gardens on the site, Japanese, English, modern, and so on. Super fun to see the creativity to display.

In the ever-present gift shop at the end of an attraction, there was a poster tracing the history of the gardens ... each established at a different time and reflective of the culture at that time. They have proposed building an AUGMENTED REALITY GARDEN partially real and partially augmented with VR headsets. How cool is that?!!
