Seguret 2002

Our last day in Provence. Tomorrow we head for Barcelona. But today, we're up for a leisurely drive, an informal loop road. We will see no towns that grace the pages of guidebooks. After Vaison La Romaine, we head to the country village of Seguret. These pictures were taken in April 2002.

The thing that motivated us to stop was a sign for a Chateau. We parked the car and began the hike. The sign neglected to mention that the Chateau was 500 meters vertical climb above the village. And the sign neglected to mention that the Chateau was a ruin. By the time we got to the Chateau and back, I was starring daggers at it. Still it was a nice hike and we had no schedule to keep.
The village is built on a hill so walking around was lots of ups and downs.
