Ayers Rock
We left Alice Springs early in the morning and traveled by bus to Ayers Rock. I am sure Ayers rock is one of the most photographed sites in Australia. It is a sacred site to Australia's aboriginal people. It was formed by wind eroding softer stone and sand from around the harder rock. It's big, 500+ meters tall and 9+ kilometers around. It makes it's own weather. It's hard to describe, but it "feels" like one of the world's "special places." I felt different being there, more observant possibly.
