Utah Landscapes
This was HARD. From the parking lot, we hiked/climbed about 4 miles and 1,500 vertical feet to this wonderful arch. As we approached the arch, the weather turned foul. 40-50 mph winds. Hard rain, the drops the size of silver dollars when they hit the rock. And (damn-it) there were about 50 people walking around the arch itself, shooting selfies, otherwise interfering with my "perfect" photo. Photoshop to the rescue. I set up my tripod and shot probably 15 photos about 15 seconds apart. Back in photoshop, I stacked them and aligned them and used the Photoshop Statistics/Median function to remove the people. And Bob's your uncle. Hike back down the slick rock. They don't call it slick for nothing when it's wet. We arrived back at the car soaked to the skin, hungry, thirsty, cold, grumpy. But it was worth it! I'd do it again.
