SFMOMA

This is my favorite. Part of the sculpture is suspended above the atrium, just beyond this highly reflective marble slab. The light on the museum wall, the reflection, and the sculpture itself make it my favorite.

Looking up from the same floor where the picture above was shot, another part of the sculpture was suspended from the skylight. I love the shadows.

The sculpture is created from cutting a car apart, and then adding lots of whimsical stuf to it. Here the rear fender perches on a wall.

Here, looking down from the 3rd floor, you can see the same fender assembly as two pictures above, but from a different vantage point. The floor of the museum is in the background, 3 stories below.

To give an artist her due.

As we were leaving the museum walking toward Chinatown, there was a construction project underway. I loved the SKY sign pointing, oddly enough, toward the sky. The little girl apparently did, too.

Walking through Chinatown, we stopped in a number of shops and found one holding a kite festival. and yes, this is the head of a giant kite.
