I love this photo - it lets me feel these massive ships ... the one on the left I called home for a couple of weeks.
Easily mistaken for a photo of the Vatican Library ... and in fact, many locations in the Hermitage reminded me a great deal of the Vatican. Curious.
There were many artists with an easel set up and copying incredible art of the Hermitage. I like this particular example.
And not far away was a modern sculpture park that poked a little fun.
One of my favorite photos from the trip. I like the juxtaposition of the 2nd Day sign with the slice of street life below, in this case the 'Fiat Trattoria.'
