Best of 2008

Museam as an Attraction While in Washington DC in the Spring of 2008, we visited lots of museums. Often times, in the best museums, the museum itself is so well designed it becomes an attraction in and of itself. Two others come instantly to mind: The Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco and the Musee D'Orsay in Paris.

US Capital Dome One of my favorite sites in Spring of 2008 in Washington DC was the Capital. It is a majestic building seen from the street, but in many ways, it's more interesting inside. The carved figures you can see inthe photo are not carved at all, but rather are painted on the flat surface of the dome.
